Key Responsibilities
Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
Manage onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit inquiries.
Conduct performance reviews and support professional development initiatives.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Organize and facilitate employee training and development programs.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Experience in social media marketing or a related field is advantageous.
Familiarity with the Chicago market and its employment landscape.
